The action will continue providing support to Kosovo Correction Service in ensuring sustainable use of the screening, risk and needs assessment tool and individual rehabilitation methodology aimed at violent extremist prisoners (VEPs), focusing also on preparation for release and development of Rehabilitation and Reintegration programme. It will enable Kosovo Probation Service and other agencies, civil society, service providers raise their professional standards in provision of the post-penal support and assist the Beneficiary establish employment and vocational training programs that can contribute to reintegration of VEPs while incarcerated or upon release. The challenges of collaboration and coordination between all actors in society in preparation for release and post-penal phase, including government agencies, CSOs and international partners will be addressed through regional dimension of the action, along with other issues such as prevention of mental health of the targeted category of prisoners, assessment of needs of women offenders, evaluation of rehabilitation progress vis a vis use of the institute of conditional/early release and community sanctions and measures.
